A friend pointed out to me that I had not made a new post to my blog since … well, a long time ago … I think the Whigs still held a majority in congress.

The incongruous “current” post about San Diego wildfires caused him to have a TIVO moment — an out-of-timeline experience. His first reaction was … are they having NEW fires? Fortunately NOT.

It would be easy to blame it on the writer’s strike but what happened is that I accidentally hit the pause button … but all is well now. I’ve fast-forwarded through Christmas and New Year’s Eve, deleted “It’s a Wonderful Life” and the Rose Parade as well as 22 Oprah shows (my wife), 92 reruns of Hannah Montana (my daughter) and 114 hours of news programs (mine).
